What is The Nest?

While the kids are enjoying their time at Hawk, you’re invited to relax & enjoy some time-out at the complimentary Nest cafe.

The Nest is all about good food, great coffee, & practical seminars about relevant topics for everyone in our community. This year we are finalising a fantastic line up of guest speakers every day.

Maybe you are just looking forward to the opportunity to relax with friends and great coffee while the kids are having a fantastic time at HAWK. There’s something for everyone at the Nest – there’s even a play area for your little ones!

Check out last year’s speakers

Monday - Are your children kind? with Tehani Gunasekara

Hear a child psychologist talk about how we as parents can strengthen our relationships with our kids and teach them valuable skills by modelling empathy.

Tuesday - Bushwalking with Families with Matt McClelland

Be inspired to get outdoors and do some exploring with your children - they’ll be off screens and taking a break from technology while developing a love for the outdoors, spending time as a family plus developing confidence and independence - a win win all around!.

Wednesday - Self Care for Parents with Edwina Scott

Being a mum/dad/carer can be all consuming! We are constantly occupied with small people during the day and nights can be full of interruptions. Come along and think about how we can care for and take time for ourselves in the midst of caring for our families and hear how one mum uses craft to stay sane in the the little years.

Thursday - Marriage Tune-Up with Christine Jensen

Take some time out to consider how to grow your marriage, receiving tips from an experienced marriage speaker.

Friday - A More Significant Christmas with Kerryn Hoffman

Ever have a nagging sense commercialism has hijacked your family's Christmas? Shouldn’t it be about more than food and toys? Be inspired to make this Christmas more meaningful and take the focus off the to do list and back where it should be.

What is Super Fun Sunday?

Super Fun Sunday is a celebration to cap off a great week together!

Join us at St Mark’s as a family on the 14th of July: you’re invited to check out our church service at 10am or 415pm where your kids will give you a glimpse at the fun and celebration they’ve been enjoying about all the week..

After the 10am service, there’ll be a BBQ lunch to enjoy as well as slushies, fairy floss, a jumping castle, petting zoo, face painting & balloon animals.

If you’re interested in visiting Church in the Afternoon instead, you’ll be able to enjoy all the same things from 2:45pm, stick around for the service at 4:15pm & then enjoy a BBQ dinner afterward.
